Greencastle is pleased to announce George Beane’s promotion to Management Consultant.
He was hired by Greencastle as a full time employee in January 2015 following his excellent performance as a contractor, performing site audits with a waste management program at a Fortune 50 telecommunications company.
When first arriving at Greencastle, George supported a national recycling program to enhance electronic waste management capabilities and processes at more than 500 client locations nationwide. He led field operations as a contracted auditor & compliance inspector, and he worked closely with field leaders to record best practices, lessons learned and identify program improvements. George did outstanding work in the field, and because of his high-level performance, he was asked to join Greencastle full time.
George now works on fleet initiatives and recently supported a complex fleet audit, as well as our client’s “Right-Job/Right-Vehicle initiative. He currently manages the installation of engine-tuning technology from Derive Systems © for approximately 6000 Chevy and Ford vans to support our client’s sustainability initiatives. George also assists in the creation of alternative fuel strategies and telematics program development & implementation.
George is a veteran of the US Air Force, and was previously assigned to the 193rd Special Operations Wing in Middletown, PA, where his duties included inspecting, servicing and maintaining the EC-130J aircraft. In 2009, he earned the Air Force’s Achievement Medal for excellence in service as an aircraft mechanic on the A-10 while deployed in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. He was also selected as Airman of the Year for 2009 at the 111th Fighter Wing.
