FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Auguts 04, 2009
MALVERN, Penn. — AUGUST 04, 2009 — Greencastle Consulting, a project management and consulting services firm, today announced that Denise Hammel-Jones, MSN, RN, BC, SSC, a clinical management consultant for the firm, has been appointed to the Board of Directors for the HIMSS Delaware Valley Chapter. The appointment runs through 2011.
This role continues the efforts Hammel-Jones has put forth toward regional HIMSS organizations. In July, she conducted an educational session, “Tools for EMR Success: Blending People and Process,” for the New Jersey HIMSS Chapter. In the workshop, she was joined by co-presenter Carol Brown, program director, Healthcare IT Management, Stevens Institute of Technology.
“I’m proud to take on this role for such an influential organization,” said Hammel-Jones. “Greencastle enjoys a synergistic relationship with HIMSS, and our organizations have aligned in a shared effort to educate and collaborate with healthcare’s early adopters on clinical transformation initiatives.”
A board certified informatics nurse, Hammel-Jones works as part of a collaborative team at Greencastle that plans, coordinates and manages the successful completion of high complexity, clinical technology projects for acute and ambulatory health providers.
“We applaud Denise’s appointment and the time she has dedicated toward her efforts with HIMSS,” said Celwyn Evans, senior partner, Greencastle Consulting. “By taking active leadership roles in associations like HIMSS, CHIME, MGMA and AHIMA, Greencastle has made a commitment to cultivate the educational offerings and networking programs of our industry.”
