FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
May 05, 2008
MALVERN, Penn. — May 05, 2008— Greencastle Consulting, a project management and consulting services firm, today announced that Nassau Health Care Corporation (NHCC) of East Meadow, New York, selected Greencastle to provide business process redesign services across a range of clinical, administration and financial areas.
Using a “teach, do, check” model, Greencastle is working with department-specific teams in hands-on sessions over a two-month period which began in March 2008. The initiative intends to help NHCC teams identify and respond to business process inefficiencies at NHCC and its 530-bed Nassau University Medical Center.
“We consider it an extension of our mission to look for changes that can impact quality, access and cost,” says Arthur Gianelli, president and chief executive officer at NHCC. “In this case, we wanted to take a rigorous, systematic approach without further burdening our own staff. After an evaluation phase, we decided that Greencastle’s methodologies and philosophy were a strong complement.”
After considering in-house options and evaluating several external vendors, NHCC chose Greencastle based in part on past performance in its core disciplines: project management, process improvement, organizational change management and value maximization.
For this engagement, Greencastle is currently working with business process redesign teams representing the following areas:
